Museum modernization

A COMPLETELY RETHOUGHT MUSEUM :
​
The visit layout has been completely rethought and modernized, giving particular attention to the collection presentation so as to accommodate everybody including for persons with special needs, with the aid of audiovisual and digital materials (including screens).
​
With these new investments, the team of volunteers want to participate in the economic development of Salies-de-Béarn and Béarn des Gaves which contains a rich and varied heritage.
LOCAL SUPPORT FOR THE PROJECT WAS MOST ENCOURAGING

Several sources of financial support amounted to 220.000 € which was raised both locally and via the European Union. Plus thanks to several sponsors such as the Heritage Foundation, Total, Credit Agricole and the Corporation de la Fontaine Salée.
A variety of appeals via crowdfunding touched the hearts of the local population, others based further afield and even abroad !
